I chose to self publish my fantasy novel - for the good reason that I wanted control and didn't want to take the time to go the traditional route.

In my research I discovered an interesting fact about publishing a fantasy novel - at least for the first novel. A survey (and I've forgotten who did it...) showed the number of novels a author had to write was more than one before getting picked up by a traditional publisher. Half of the respondents had written three or more novels before being published. Don't get discouraged about publishing your first fantasy novel - self publishing may be the route to go for you.

Self-publishing is becoming more and more accepted and viable -even more cost effective - as a way to publish a fantasy nove. I chose a book publisher, Dog Ear Publishing, to produce my book
